Reviewing The Guidelines

In class we have extensively discussed writing our manuscripts according to the guidelines set by our chosen journal. Submissions can be rejected without revisions when individuals do not comply with the rules that the journal makes. To me, this is discouraging and embarrassing. I have been spending a lot of time trying to ensure that I understand the rules and that nothing slips through the cracks. I am trying to ensure that I understand exactly what I need to do with my submission. When beginning my manuscript, I thought the research would take the longest. As a whole, yes the research did take the longest but if you consider all the time I have spent doing technical things, I think I have spent the same amount time ensuring I am doing things correctly. This includes citing and complying with the rules of my journal submission. It is always the little things that you do not consider in the beginning that can give you the largest headache.
